Race Communications was founded in 1994 in Woodland, California — not in a Silicon Valley boardroom, not in a national telecom headquarters, but in the Central Valley. We started with a simple conviction: California deserves better internet than the cable companies were willing to build.

Thirty years later, that conviction is still the only thing driving our decisions. We are privately held and family-rooted. We answer to our communities, not to Wall Street. When we expand into a new market, it is because we believe that community deserves fiber — not because a quarterly growth target demands it.

We made a choice early on: fiber or nothing. No coaxial patchwork, no copper last-mile compromises, no asterisked speeds. Every connection Race delivers is end-to-end fiber, and that is not a product feature — it is who we are.

We don't offer cable tiers, copper fallbacks, or hybrid connections. Every Race customer — residential or business — gets 100% fiber to the premises. No asterisks, no "up to" speed claims, no fine print about peak hours.

Comcast has 29 million subscribers across 40 states. AT&T covers most of the country. Race serves California. That focus is a strategic choice — we know these communities because we are part of them. Our network engineers live here. Our support team is local. Our decisions affect our neighbors.

We don't lock business customers into multi-year contracts with early termination fees. Our model is straightforward: provide service good enough that you choose to stay. If we ever stop earning your business, you can leave. That accountability makes us better.
